What WYSIWYG means

WYSIWYG means “what you see is what you get.” The listing photographs the individual fish offered for sale rather than using a representative species image. Natural appearance can still shift with lighting, stress, acclimation, growth, and normal color change.

Use the photograph to evaluate the individual, then use the product details and species guide to evaluate care. Exact-image purchasing does not replace research into adult size, temperament, diet, reef compatibility, or aquarium requirements.

Reviewing an individual listing

Confirm the scientific or common species name, listed size, feeding information, and any notes about behavior or markings. Compare those details with the aquarium’s dimensions, existing livestock, and long-term stocking plan before checkout.

Availability changes quickly because each listing represents one individual. If a photographed fish sells, choose another current listing rather than assuming a similarly named animal will have identical markings or size.

Arrival and acclimation

Prepare quarantine or the display aquarium before delivery and follow the current acclimation instructions supplied with the order. Match temperature and salinity carefully, minimize time in opened shipping water, and provide an appropriate first feeding and shelter plan.

Observe breathing, posture, appetite, and tankmate interactions after introduction. Temporary color changes can occur during transport, but persistent distress, refusal to eat, or harassment requires prompt evaluation.
