Filter socks are made to remove particles from your water that are allowed to float. They come in a wide range of shapes and sizes, with the felt 4" or 7" diameter sock being the most popular. Although many sump models already have a filter sock holder, you may occasionally need to add your own, which may be attached to the side of your sump or further tailored to meet your needs. We prefer socks with plastic rings since they are easier to take out of the holder and don't have a drawstring that can loosen with time.
