Once placed in stable reef conditions, the frag can encrust onto its base and grow into a larger colony. Frags make it possible to add aquacultured color and variety without purchasing a full-size colony.
What is included in a coral frag pack?

Mystery and beginner packs are curated from healthy available frags, so the exact colors and varieties may differ from the example image. Can I choose the exact corals in a mystery frag pack?
Mystery frag packs are selected from the healthy inventory available when your order is prepared, so exact colors and varieties are not guaranteed unless the product page explicitly says otherwise. The product image shows the type or possible range of corals rather than the exact pieces you will receive. Choose a species-specific pack when you want a more defined coral category.
How should I acclimate corals from a frag pack?
Acclimate each frag according to its coral type rather than placing the entire pack in one location. Equalize temperature, follow the current TSA acclimation guidance, inspect and dip frags when appropriate, and begin under conservative lighting. Mount each coral with suitable spacing and flow, then make gradual adjustments as its polyps extend and coloration stabilizes.
