MarcoRocks Maricultured Rubble Live Rock is aquacultured live rock that brings real ocean life into your system. This live rock rubble starts as MR Reef Saver dry rock before being deployed in the Florida Keys. After years of maturing in the ocean, the rock becomes full of the beneficial life needed to start a thriving reef tank.
Why Choose MarcoRocks Live Rock Rubble?
- Rapid cycling for new reef systems
- A greatly reduced "ugly" stage while your tank matures
- Natural reef life such as sponges, corals, and a diversity of beneficial bacteria
- Inspected by MarcoRocks to remove undesirable marine life before it ships
- Packed wet in a reusable thermally protected box
From the Florida Keys to Your Reef
Every piece begins as MR Reef Saver dry rock. MarcoRocks places it in the ocean in the Florida Keys, where it matures for years and becomes colonized by the organisms that make live rock valuable. The rock then comes home to the MR greenhouse aquacultured systems, where it is inspected and monitored before it ships to you.
Pest Screening
While Florida Keys rock is known for being quite pest free, there is always a chance of introducing unwanted animals or algae into your system. To combat this, MarcoRocks takes a three step approach. Once home in the MR greenhouse aquacultured systems, each rock is closely inspected to remove any undesirable marine life. It is then closely monitored and inspected once again prior to shipping.
How We Ship Live Rock
Rock this nice deserves the same treatment that corals do. Because this product is truly live we only ship it overnight. While it is packed to stay live and fresh for a minimum of 48 hours, by shipping it overnight we can target the shortest duration between our system and yours. The rock ships wrapped in paper, wet and in a reusable thermally protected box.
Building Your Aquascape
For best results we recommend using this live rock along with MarcoRocks dry Natural or Coralline rock. Combining Marco Rocks live rock with dry rock lets you seed a larger aquascape with the life and bacteria it needs to mature.
