The Nyos Quantum EQ 160 combines the proven performance of the Quantum series with next-generation digital control via Mobius™ or Apex Fusion™, allowing reefers to fine-tune, automate, and monitor their skimmer’s performance directly from their smartphone.

Each EQ 160 includes the newly engineered EQ Hybrid Wheel — designed to create an ultra-dense field of microbubbles while reducing rotational mass for quieter, energy-efficient operation. The clear Reactor Volute gives a direct view into bubble formation and makes it easy to spot any blockages or foreign debris.

Once the air-water mixture enters the body, the Twister Diffuser Plate adds a powerful vortex effect that increases dwell time and waste contact for unmatched skimming efficiency. The smooth, tapered body and neck gently guide the foam to the Quick-Twist Collection Cup, making cleaning fast and effortless.

Wireless Intelligence

Control the Quantum EQ via Mobius™ (iOS/Android) or through Apex Fusion™ with the MXM module. Choose from preset modes or set up smart scenes:

• Performance Mode – 70% skimming power for everyday nutrient export.

• Plankton Saving Mode – Reduces performance at night to protect natural plankton.

• Nutrient Export Reduction Mode – Decreases skimming if nutrients are already low.

• Smart Scenes – Automatically adjust speed during feedings or maintenance.

An integrated RGB LED indicates pump speed and status, and built-in safety features prevent overheating or damage if the pump becomes obstructed.
