The Hydros WaveEngine Pump Adapter is a purpose-built cable that connects the Hydros WaveEngine directly to Maxspect Gyre XF150, XF250, and XF280 pump heads. By bypassing the pump's native power brick and control head entirely, it consolidates power delivery and speed control through the WaveEngine — reducing the number of wall plugs, cables, and separate controllers on or behind the tank.
At roughly 9 inches in length, the adapter is sized to reach from a WaveEngine mounted near the rim or sump area to the pump head without excess slack. The connection is direct and purpose-matched, meaning no adapters-on-adapters or jury-rigged solutions are required for supported Gyre models.
This adapter is a logical addition for any Hydros user who owns a compatible Maxspect Gyre and wants to bring it under the WaveEngine's scheduling, wave mode, and feed-mode controls. It does not add any new functionality on its own — the WaveEngine itself must already be part of the setup. Compatibility is confirmed for the XF150, XF250, and XF280; verify your specific Gyre model before purchasing.
