Hydros Float Switch - Hydros

The Hydros Float Switch extends your Hydros Control system with reliable, mechanical water level detection. By plugging directly into any available Sense Port, it draws power and sends level data through the same connection, keeping wiring simple. The GX12 aviation-style connector preserves the sensor's IP65 rating, meaning the unit is dust-tight and protected against water spray from any angle — an important consideration in the wet environments where float switches typically operate.

The sensor can be configured as either a high-level or low-level trigger depending on your application. Common uses include automatic top-off initiation, skimmer pump shutoff during low sump water events, RO reservoir monitoring, and water leak or overflow alarms. Because it operates through the Hydros ecosystem, any triggered action can be programmed and adjusted directly within the Hydros app without additional hardware.

The magnetic mount makes positioning straightforward. The mount is 1 inch in diameter with each magnet half measuring 3/8 inch (10mm) thick, accommodating mounting surfaces up to approximately 2cm total thickness. The float body itself is 3 inches long and 3/4 inch in diameter, and the cable runs 6 feet 6 inches — sufficient reach for most sump and reservoir configurations. This sensor is a practical addition for any hobbyist looking to add water level logic to an existing Hydros setup.
