Designed to be used in conjunction with the Reef Octopus CO2 Scrubber to draw out moisture from the skimmer body and extend the life of your CO2-absorbent media, giving you a more direct and cost-effective way of controlling the pH in your aquarium.
Using this closed-loop system in managing pH will extend the longevity of the media compared to a non-closed-loop system. It can also be used as a lid for Ozone use when used in conjunction with a media reactor with granular activated carbon.

The top cover replaces the lid on your skimmer's collection cup so the skimmer and the Universal CO2 Scrubber work as a closed loop. That draws moisture out of the skimmer body and extends the life of the CO2-absorbent media, such as IceCap color-changing CO2 absorbent media.

Which CO2 Scrubber Top Cover size fits my skimmer?
Match the cover to your skimmer body. The 4" C2C-120 fits Classic 110-S, 110-INT, 110-EXT and SRO-1000-INT. The 6" C2C-150 fits Classic 150 and 152 and Regal and Elite 150 models. The 8" C2C-200 fits Classic 202-S and 200-INT, SRO-3000 and Regal and Elite 200 models. The 10" C2C-250 fits Regal 250 and SRO-5000 models, and the 12" C2C-300 fits Regal 300 and SRO-6000 models.
What does the CO2 scrubber top cover do?
It seals the top of the skimmer so the skimmer and the Reef Octopus CO2 Scrubber run as a closed loop. That draws moisture out of the skimmer body and makes the CO2-absorbent media last longer than an open setup.
Is a CO2 scrubber worth it for a reef tank?
