Overview
Green Hairy Mushroom Coral has a broad disc covered in fine, hair-like tentacles. Rhodactis indosinensis is a soft corallimorph (mushroom coral) that thrives in low to moderate lighting and gentle, low to moderate water flow. It hosts symbiotic algae for most of its nutrition but will accept small meaty foods or coral foods, which can speed growth and deepen coloration. Place it on rock with room to expand, and keep distance from other corals it may sting or overgrow.

What causes color shifts or “bounce” bubbles on this mushroom?
Changes in spectrum, nutrients, and PAR drive pigments and vesicle formation. Higher blue/violet with moderate PAR often deepens greens; excessive intensity can wash color or cause retraction.
