The Sicce Syncra SDC 9.0 is a fully controllable DC return pump that covers the 1,000–2,500 GPH flow range most mid-to-large reef systems demand. Unlike analog pumps with fixed output, the SDC 9.0 lets you dial in exactly the flow rate your system needs through either the included capacitive controller or the free ContrALL app. Five pre-set flow modes—along with a 10-minute pause function and a 7-hour ECO mode—give you the flexibility to match pump behavior to feeding schedules, maintenance windows, or energy-saving overnight profiles. For tanks already running Neptune Apex, the pump integrates directly with Apex Fusion after a firmware update, so it slots into your existing automation without a separate control module.

The built-in WiFi and ContrALL app extend full pump control to any iOS or Android device, regardless of where you are. Beyond flow adjustment, the app surfaces data from the pump's integrated temperature probe, which reads water temperature as it passes through the impeller chamber. Customizable alert thresholds mean you'll receive a push notification if temperature drifts out of range—a straightforward safety net that doesn't require a separate temperature controller or monitor.

Silence and longevity are areas where Sicce has invested meaningfully in the SDC line. A polished ceramic shaft and precision bearings reduce vibration at the source, while four silicone silencer feet isolate what little vibration remains from the sump walls. The feet extend slightly past the pump body, so the unit can be placed flush against sump walls without bypassing the isolation they provide. The pump ships with a complete fitting kit covering 25mm and 32mm pipe adapters, 1" NPT unions, and 1"–1¼" barbed fittings, so most standard plumbing configurations are covered without an additional trip to the hardware store.
