The Sicce Shark PRO 500 is a fully redesigned internal filter built around a modular magnetic cartridge architecture. Unlike conventional internal filters where maintenance means pulling the entire unit and interrupting flow, the Shark PRO's quick-uncoupling system lets you detach individual cartridges from the filter head while the pump continues running. This reduces disturbance to the tank and makes routine cleaning straightforward enough that it actually gets done on schedule.

Modularity is the defining feature of the Shark PRO line. The 500 ships with one foam-loaded filter cartridge, and the system accepts up to two additional cartridges stacked in series. That means you can start with mechanical filtration and later add activated carbon, bio-media, or specialty media as your tank demands evolve — without buying a new filter. The adjustable flow knob gives you control over turnover rate, and the integrated oxygenation system with spray bar adds surface agitation without a separate air pump.

Mounting is handled by a strong magnetic bracket that secures to glass up to 12mm thick. The filter can be oriented vertically or horizontally, which is useful in shallower tanks or oddly shaped setups. Silent operation and tool-free assembly round out the practical design. This filter is sized for lightly to moderately stocked freshwater aquariums between 11 and 37 US gallons. If your tank pushes past moderate stocking levels or approaches the upper end of the capacity range, plan on adding a second cartridge from the start or supplementing with additional filtration.
