Point Leak Sensor - Hydros

The Hydros Point Leak Sensor gives HYDROS OS users an actionable early warning system for water leaks anywhere around a reef or freshwater system. Plug it into any available Sense Port on a compatible HYDROS controller — the Control 2, Control 4, or similar — and the sensor draws power directly from that connection. No power adapter, no separate cable run. Place it wherever leaks are most likely: under a sump, beneath an RO/DI unit, on the floor of an equipment stand, under a saltwater mixing station, or beside an ATO reservoir. When moisture contacts the detection pads, the sensor reports to the HYDROS app and whatever response logic you've configured fires immediately.

The automation options are where this sensor becomes genuinely useful rather than just a passive alarm. Through the HYDROS app, a detected leak can trigger a combination of responses: cut power to a return pump or skimmer via a connected Energy Bar or Smart Plug, flash a specific color on your HYDROS controller's LED indicator, push a mobile notification to your phone, or control equipment in an adjacent room through a WiFi Power 4 strip. Multiple sensors can run simultaneously — one per available Sense Port — so a larger fish room or multi-tank setup can be monitored at several points without compromise.

A persistent problem with aquarium leak sensors is corrosion on the underside detection surface, which degrades sensitivity over time and forces periodic replacement. The Hydros Point Leak Sensor addresses this with full encapsulation and a safety seal around the entire unit.
