Meridian 11 Edge Bar Bundle - Reef Breeders

The Meridian 11 Edge Bar Bundle is a fully integrated overhead lighting system designed for reef aquariums where spectrum quality, coverage consistency, and multi-angle illumination all matter. The Meridian 11 serves as the primary fixture, delivering an extended violet range from 400nm through 440nm — including dedicated 440nm indigo LEDs rarely found in aquarium lighting — alongside high-CRI neutral and warm white LEDs for accurate color rendering. The two Edge 12 bars expand that coverage laterally, adding up to six inches of reach per bar toward the front and back glass. The complete assembly draws 135W at full output, and the included 150W power supply and pre-cut daisy chain cables mean the system is ready to plug in without additional sourcing.

Spectrum selection happens at checkout across two independent choices. The Meridian's LED layout is either Original — a 20K blue look with four 440nm indigo LEDs on a dedicated channel — or Shallow Reef, which doubles the white LED count, adds a separate 3.5K warm white channel alongside 5.5K neutral whites, and produces a 14K shallow-water appearance. Both are fully adjustable in the ReefBreeders app. The Edge bars ship in whichever spectrum you select: Reefer 14K (white, blue, and UV for a natural look), Royal Ice (royal blue and cool blue tuned for fluorescence), or UV/Blue Hybrid (royal blue, near-UV, violet, and indigo to extend the violet range out to the edges). The two choices are meant to work together — the Meridian establishes the base look and the Edge bars reinforce or balance it.

Optics are handled through the Ocular Holo Matrix system. The Meridian ships with OHM Balance at 90° for a wide overhead spread; each Edge bar ships with Edge OHM Focus at 45° for a tighter, deeper beam directed into the rockwork or toward the glass depending on how the articulating mounts are angled. Both optic sets are swappable, and additional OHM spreads are available separately. Coverage with the included optics runs from 20 × 26 in for SPS-dominant setups up to 24 × 36 in for soft coral and LPS tanks, with each Edge bar contributing up to six additional inches of side reach. The system handles tanks thirty inches deep or more.

Control runs through the ReefBreeders app over 2.4GHz WiFi for remote access or Bluetooth for direct connection at the tank — selected as separate modes at setup. The app manages scheduling, spectrum, and sunrise and sunset ramps across all three fixtures. Each Edge bar has a manual controller built in; the Meridian accepts an optional plug-in controller through the port on top of the case. The system is not bundled with side legs, back-of-tank mounts, or hanging wire kits, which are sold separately. The daisy chain cables are cut to fixed lengths suited to the Edge bars mounted on the Meridian's tracks, so plan the installation around that arrangement.
