The DC pump controller gives the user 10 distinct power level settings, allowing precise tuning of skimmer output to match the actual bioload of the tank rather than running at a fixed rate. A built-in feed timer adds a layer of convenience, pausing the skimmer during feeding to prevent overflow from surface disruption. The submerged pipeless output eliminates the noise and maintenance points associated with traditional discharge plumbing.

Bioload ratings for the K3-160 INT are tiered by livestock density: up to 125 gallons for heavily stocked systems, 175 gallons for medium bioload, and 250 gallons for lightly stocked tanks.
