The Hydros Minnow centers on two independent micro-liquid dosing pumps that deliver precise, programmable doses of two-part solutions, trace elements, or other liquid supplements. Pump speeds are user-selectable at six discrete rates — from ±25 up to ±55 ml/min — and the dosing heads are rotatable, color-coded, and designed for easy servicing without tools. Color-coded tubing is included to keep lines organized and reduce the chance of swapping solutions.
Beyond dosing, the Minnow provides four sense ports that accept a broad range of HYDROS-compatible sensors. A single unit can simultaneously monitor water and air temperature, fluid levels via optical sensors, point and wide-area leak detection, flow rate through a pipe, and dual TDS readings from an RO/DI system. This makes the Minnow genuinely useful as a monitoring hub even if dosing is not the primary need. Two Command Bus ports allow the Minnow to exchange data and power with other HYDROS devices, enabling coordinated failsafe responses across a larger system.
Setup and day-to-day operation run through the HYDROS cloud-based app. There is no proprietary scripting language to learn — schedules, alerts, and conditional rules are built through a touch-based interface. A dual-core 32-bit processor handles control logic locally, so decisions do not depend on a continuous cloud connection. The app also allows the Minnow to indirectly control up to eight WiFi-connected devices through HYDROS power strips or smart plugs (sold separately), adding outlet-level control of pumps, heaters, lights, and other equipment.
The enclosure is rated IP65 for splash and dust resistance and uses the same aircraft-style connectors found across the HYDROS lineup, chosen specifically for corrosion resistance in marine environments. The Minnow works equally well on saltwater, freshwater, and pond setups. Note that outlet control requires a HYDROS WiFi Power Strip, Control XP8, or Smart Plug — none of which ship with the Minnow. The unit comes with a power supply, two 10-foot color-coded dosing tubes, and a calibration beaker. CoralVue backs it with a one-year limited warranty from the date of purchase.
