The four Sense Ports accept a range of sensor types including temperature, fluid level, leak detection, flow rate, and TDS sensors, making the port layout genuinely flexible rather than fixed to a single function. The pH/ORP probe port uses digital galvanic isolation to prevent interference from pumps and motors from corrupting probe readings.

The Hydros app handles scheduling, automation rules, and remote control without requiring any scripting or programming. Rules can reference live sensor data, and the system can extend control to up to eight Wi-Fi connected devices such as Hydros smart outlets and power strips. Two Command Bus ports allow the Launch to communicate with and power other Hydros controllers, enabling more complex multi-unit setups as the system scales.

The Launch ships with a temperature sensor and a pH probe with calibration solutions. A salinity probe kit and the Hydros iV isolated testing vessel are sold separately but are recommended additions for reef aquariums.
