Hydros DC Solenoid Water Valve - Hydros
Goes well with:
The Hydros DC Solenoid Valve gives Hydros Control 2 and Control 4 users a clean, direct-feed ATO solution by placing an electronically controlled valve inline on the product line of a reverse osmosis system. Rather than relying on a separate reservoir and pump, the solenoid opens on demand when a connected water level sensor signals a low-water condition, allows RO or RO/DI water to flow into the tank or sump, then closes once the sensor reports that the target level has been restored. The controller handles all logic and power delivery through a single Drive Port connection.
Connecting the valve is straightforward. The 1/4" push-connect fittings accept standard RO tubing without tools, and the GX12 aviation-style plug seats securely into the Drive Port on the Control 2 or Control 4. This connector choice is deliberate: it preserves the IP65 rating of the controller, keeping it dust-tight and protected against water spray from any angle. No secondary power brick or inline transformer is required — the Drive Port supplies everything the solenoid needs to operate.
As an alternative to the Hydros DC Micro Pump in an ATO workflow, the solenoid is configured entirely within the Hydros app. Pairing it with an optical or mechanical water level sensor produces a two-component closed-loop top-off system. It is worth noting that CoralVue recommends installing an auto-shutoff valve and check valve on the RO system to prevent wastewater production while the solenoid is in the closed position — a straightforward addition for any existing RO setup.
The valve is manufactured by AutoAqua, a Taiwan-based company widely recognized in the hobby for the Smart ATO Micro, and is an official Hydros Technology Partner. CoralVue conducted compatibility testing across the Hydros platform before release. The product carries a one-year limited warranty from CoralVue covering defects in materials and workmanship from the date of purchase.
Overview
Inline ATO. No Reservoir.
The Hydros DC Solenoid Valve integrates directly with the Control 2 or Control 4 to automate RO top-off without a separate pump or reservoir.
Sensor-Driven Automation
- Works with optical or mechanical water level sensors connected to the Hydros controller
- Opens on low-water signal, closes when target level is restored
- All logic configured in the Hydros app — no manual intervention required
Simple, Secure Connection
- GX12 aviation-style plug connects to any Drive Port on the Control 2 or Control 4
- No additional power source required — powered entirely through the Drive Port
- Maintains the controller's IP65 dust-tight and water-spray protection rating
RO-Ready Hardware
- 1/4" push-connect fittings accept standard RO tubing without tools
- Rated to 120 PSI for compatibility with typical residential RO systems
- Manufactured by AutoAqua, an official Hydros Technology Partner
Features
GX12 Aviation Connector Included
The valve ships with its GX12 aviation-style cable, which plugs directly into a Drive Port on the Hydros Control 2 or Control 4. This connector type preserves the controller's IP65 rating and eliminates the need for a separate power supply.
Official Hydros Accessory Packaging
Retail packaging confirms the valve as an official Hydros accessory, co-developed and tested by CoralVue for seamless compatibility with the Control 2 and Control 4 platforms.
