Hydros Automatic Fish Feeder - Hydros

The Hydros Automatic Fish Feeder is built around a single design principle: a direct, wired connection to the Hydros ecosystem. By plugging into any available Drive Port on a Hydros Control unit, the feeder receives both power and communication through one cable, eliminating the wireless interference and connectivity drop-outs that plague Bluetooth or RF-based feeders. Scheduling, portion control, and manual feeding triggers are all handled through the free Hydros app on Android or iOS, giving you the same unified interface you already use to manage the rest of your system.

The feeder is compatible with most dry foods, including flake and pellet formats. An adjustable feed door lets you dial in the opening size to match the particle size of your chosen food, reducing waste and preventing overfeeding. The canister door opens for easy refilling without removing the unit from the tank, and the approximately 200mL capacity is sufficient for typical daily feeding cycles on most systems. Operation is notably quiet, which matters on open-top tanks in living spaces.

Mounting flexibility is built in. The package includes both a rimless aquarium clamp and a eurobraced clamp, each rated for tank walls up to 1 inch thick, along with double-sided mounting tape as an alternative. The 9-foot cord provides enough reach to route cleanly to a sump cabinet or wall-mounted controller without forcing awkward cable management.

This feeder is purpose-built for the Hydros platform and will not operate independently or with third-party controllers. If you are already running a Hydros Control with an open Drive Port, it integrates cleanly and adds automated feeding to your existing automation routines. Hobbyists not on the Hydros platform should look at a standalone feeder instead.
