Design and Efficiency The Hydra Edge 44 HD boasts a sleek, modern form factor that minimizes its presence over your aquarium while maximizing efficiency. Its advanced design reduces heat output, extends component life, and offers a refined aesthetic that complements any setup.

Solar Ring Technology The Hydra Edge introduces Solar Ring technology, allowing for adjustable shimmer and caustics through a centrally placed cluster of white and warm white LEDs. This creates a dynamic lighting effect that mimics natural sunlight, perfect for highlighting the natural beauty of your reef inhabitants.

Unmatched Coverage and Output With a 100-degree optic spread, the Hydra Edge 44 HD covers up to a 30” x 30” area, ensuring even light distribution, minimal shadowing, and consistent PAR levels. This wide coverage ensures every inch of your reef receives the light it needs for optimal coral growth and vibrant coloration.

EdgeField Optics EdgeField Optics provide smooth, uniform lighting by directing light through a custom-designed opaque medium. This technology, adapted from the AI Blade series, ensures comprehensive illumination even around complex aquascapes. The optics enhance efficiency by capturing and redirecting light that would otherwise be lost.

Solar Blue Spectrum Crafted with over a decade of experience, the Solar Blue spectrum simulates natural shallow reef lighting while offering customizable control over the blue-to-white spectrum. This spectrum is specifically designed to enhance coral fluorescence, promote healthy growth, and provide an aesthetically pleasing display.

Dedicated Moonlight Channel The Hydra Edge features a 2300K LED moonlight channel, perfect for simulating lunar cycles and observing nocturnal reef activity. This channel allows for independent control, creating a natural night-time environment for your aquarium inhabitants.

HyperDrive Technology HD technology lets you redirect unused power from one LED channel to another, giving you full control over your light’s output without exceeding power limits. This ensures that your preferred spectrum is always operating at its peak, maximizing coral health and coloration.

Simple Button Control The Hydra Edge offers on-fixture button control for cycling through intensity levels in 20% increments when unprogrammed or performing a factory reset when needed. Once programmed through the app, the button retains its simple functionality for quick adjustments.
