We've got your back!
AI's Hydra Edge 44 HD introduced a redesigned mounting system that, while still part of the HMS ecosystem, is not directly compatible with previous Hydra HMS mounts out of the box. This adapter kit bridges that gap, letting you use your existing Single Tank Mount, Multi Tank Mount, Multi Hanging Rail, or Hybrid Kit hardware with the Hydra Edge 44 HD without replacing the entire mounting system.
The kit supplies both a top adapter bracket and a back adapter bracket, along with the fastening hardware needed for a complete installation. The two-point attachment approach — top and back — accounts for the Hydra Edge's pivoting and articulating mounting geometry, which differs from earlier Hydra fixtures.
This is a straightforward accessory purchase for hobbyists who already own AI HMS mounting hardware and are upgrading to the Hydra Edge 44 HD. If you are starting fresh, consider the dedicated Flex Arm with Adapter or the Hydra Edge HMS Hanging Kit as all-in-one mounting solutions. The light itself is sold separately.
