How to Remove Phosphates and Reduce Algae
- Initial starting dose: 1 gram per gallon of aquarium water
- Rinse media thoroughly before use
- Place in a media bag or fluidized reactor with moderate flow
For best results, test phosphate levels weekly. Maintain phosphate levels below 0.25 ppm. If levels remain above 0.15 ppm, replace or slightly increase the media as needed.
If any coral stress or negative reactions are observed within the first 24 hours, reduce the amount of GFO by half.
