Edge 63 - Reef Breeders

The Edge 63 is the largest bar in Reef Breeders' Edge lineup, putting 150 watts of LED output into a 63-inch aluminum housing tuned for directional coverage rather than broad scatter. The included Edge OHM Focus optics concentrate that output into a 6-inch front-to-back spread at a 45-degree angle, reaching tanks up to 48 inches deep when mounted 10 to 14 inches above the waterline. For installations where more spread is needed, the Edge OHM Balance optics (sold separately) widen that coverage to 10 inches while reducing maximum tank depth to 36 inches.

The bar is designed to work two ways. On its own, adjustable M6 bolts on top of the case allow it to hang from wires or drop into a T-track or back-of-tank mounting system. Paired with a Meridian, Edge Articulating Mounts connect it to the Meridian's front or rear track, letting you angle the bar toward the rockwork or the glass as needed. Power can be shared with the Meridian through a daisy chain cable off a larger supply, or each light can run from its own supply — the same arrangement used in the Meridian 63 bundle. Hanging wires and articulating mounts are sold separately; if you're buying a Meridian at the same time, the Meridian Edge Bar Bundles include the mounts and power configuration already sorted.

Four spectrum variants address different tank types and pairing scenarios. Reefer 14K blends white, blue, and UV for a natural look that works well for both corals and fish. Royal Ice combines royal blue and cool blue with no white LEDs, maximizing fluorescence and color pop without contributing white light to a mixed setup. UV/Blue Hybrid mixes royal blue, near-UV, violet, and indigo to support coral coloration and growth, and is specifically balanced against the extra white output in the Meridian's Shallow Reef layout. Freshwater combines 5.5K neutral white, 3.5K warm white, 7.5K cool white, and 465nm cool blue for planted tank applications.

Control is handled through the ReefBreeders app, which gives you two-channel independent adjustment up to 100% output with schedule, sunrise, and sunset ramp support. Connectivity is either 2.4GHz WiFi for cloud access or Bluetooth for direct local control — these are separate modes chosen at initial setup, and switching between them requires a magnet-key reset. For anyone who prefers not to use the app, a built-in manual controller runs the full bar as a single channel up to 75% output on 8, 10, or 12-hour timer presets.

At 6 pounds and 63 inches case length (65.25 inches including the plug and manual controller), the Edge 63 is sized for large systems. The aluminum body carries a 2-year warranty; the included 150-watt power supply is warranted for 1 year. Buyers adding this bar to an existing Meridian setup should confirm mount and power supply compatibility before ordering, as neither the articulating mounts nor daisy chain cables ship with the bar.
