Edge 45 - Reef Breeders

The Edge 45 is a slim aluminum LED bar that delivers 120 watts of focused output across 60 inches of tank length. Where a broad-beam fixture scatters light, the included Edge OHM Focus optics concentrate the beam to a front-to-back spread of up to 6 inches, keeping intensity where it matters while reaching tanks up to 48 inches deep. The result is usable PAR at depth without the spill and distortion that comes with wide-angle optics.

The bar ships with your choice of four spectra, each repeated as an LED cluster along the length of the bar and split into two independently controllable channels. Reefer 14K blends white, blue, and UV for a natural appearance that works well for both corals and fish. Royal Ice uses royal blue and cool blue to push fluorescence and color pop, with no white LEDs added to the mix. UV/Blue Hybrid combines royal blue, near-UV, violet, and indigo to support coloration and growth, and it is specifically tuned to balance against the extra white LEDs in the Meridian's Shallow Reef layout. A Freshwater spectrum — 5.5K neutral white, 3.5K warm white, 7.5K cool white, and 465nm cool blue — rounds out the lineup for planted tanks.

Control runs through the ReefBreeders app over 2.4GHz WiFi or Bluetooth, offering two-channel scheduling with sunrise and sunset ramps up to 100% output. For setups where app control is not needed, a built-in manual controller handles the whole light as a single channel up to 75% output, with 8, 10, or 12 hour timer presets. The two modes are selected at setup and require a magnet-key reset to switch between them.

The Edge 45 is designed to mount in two configurations. Used on its own, the adjustable M6 bolts on top of the case accept hanging wires, back-of-tank mounts, or T-track hardware, all sold separately. Paired with a Meridian, Edge Articulating Mounts attach the bar to the front or rear track, and power can be shared through a daisy chain cable from a larger supply or kept independent — the same arrangement used in the Meridian 63 bundle. Buyers who want the optics expanded to a wider spread can add Edge OHM Balance separately, which trades maximum depth (36 inches) for a 10-inch front-to-back footprint.
