Edge 35 - Reef Breeders

The Edge 35 is a 34.5-inch aluminum LED bar rated at 90 watts, built around Reef Breeders' Ocular Holo Matrix optics. Rather than scattering light broadly, the OHM optics concentrate output into a defined footprint — useful when you need light placed precisely, whether that's supplementing an existing fixture or covering a specific zone of the tank. The bar ships with Edge OHM Focus installed, providing up to 6 inches of front-to-back spread and reaching tanks up to 48 inches deep. The optional Edge OHM Balance optics (sold separately) open the beam to 80° for up to 10 inches of spread, at the cost of some depth penetration.

Four spectrum configurations are offered at the time of purchase. Reefer 14K combines white, blue, and UV LEDs for a balanced look that flatters both coral and fish — the only reef option in the lineup that includes white LEDs. Royal Ice runs royal blue and cool blue channels for maximum fluorescence with no white contribution, making it well-suited for pairing with a white-dominant primary fixture. UV/Blue Hybrid mixes royal blue, near-UV, violet, and indigo, targeting coral coloration and growth; it's specifically noted as a complement to the Meridian's Shallow Reef white-heavy layout. The Freshwater spectrum blends 5.5K neutral white, 3.5K warm white, 7.5K cool white, and 465nm cool blue for planted tank applications.

Control runs through the ReefBreeders app over 2.4GHz WiFi or Bluetooth — two separate modes selected at initial setup. App control gives two-channel access up to 100% output with scheduling and sunrise/sunset ramps. For installations where a phone isn't in the workflow, the built-in manual controller handles single-channel operation up to 75% output with 8, 10, or 12-hour timer options. Switching between WiFi and Bluetooth modes after setup requires a magnet-key reset.

The Edge 35 can be used as a standalone fixture or integrated with a Meridian. Run solo, the adjustable M6 bolts on the case accept hanging wires or back-of-tank mounts and T-track hardware. Paired with a Meridian, Edge Articulating Mounts (sold separately) attach the bar to the front or rear track and allow angle adjustment toward the rockwork or glass. Power can be shared with the Meridian via a daisy chain cable and a larger supply, or each light can run from its own supply — the same approach used in the Meridian 63 bundle.
