The IceCap Coral Frag Transport Container is a purpose-built carrying system for moving live coral frags between locations without the improvised stress of plastic bags or open cups. The container seals with a screw-on gasket lid that prevents leaks during transit, and the 500 ml interior is sized to keep frags adequately submerged while remaining compact enough to slip into a bag or cooler on the way to a frag swap or club meeting.
At the heart of the system is a removable frag rack insert with 8 numbered slots, each fitted with a flexible membrane that grips plugs of varying diameters. That membrane solves a persistent problem in the hobby: corals purchased from different vendors often arrive on non-standard plugs that won't seat correctly in a one-size rack. Here they stay put regardless of plug width. The rack rests on feet that hold it above the container floor, giving plugs clearance so they don't get pushed back up through the holes. A center post with a flat handle lets you lower and retrieve the rack cleanly without reaching into the water.
The container doubles as a coral dipping station once you're home. You can fill it to the hash marks with dip solution, lower the rack, and treat incoming frags before they touch your display system. The same setup works for isolating and cleansing a frag already in your tank if you spot pests or early signs of disease — a contained, measurable volume makes dosing straightforward.
After transport and dipping, the rack has a third life inside the aquarium itself. IceCap sells a compatible magnetic mount separately; the tray lifts directly out of the carrier and seats into that mount, functioning as an in-tank frag rack. This continuity limits handling stress on newly acquired corals — they can remain on the same rack from point of purchase through acclimation and into the tank until you're ready to place them in the aquascape. The container carries a one-year warranty from CoralVue against defects in materials and workmanship.
