Description
Similar to the more commonly kept Mexican and Zebra Turbo snails, Chestnut snails are equal as hard-working and make excellent additions to any aquarium clean up crew! Similar to their cousins, these snails are especially good at targeting hair algae and can clear large sections of it from your live rock, substrate or aquarium glass. Additionally, these snails enjoy having large spaces to graze as well as having hiding places like crevices and holes in the rockwork. Chestnut Turbo Snails are very peaceful and you should avoid putting them with aggressive tank mates as they are slow moving and can easily become prey for some larger fishes.
