AquaStik Epoxy Putty is a two-part, kneadable epoxy putty designed specifically for use in marine and reef aquariums. Mix equal portions of the inner and outer components until a uniform color is achieved, then press the putty into place — it will cure hard in contact with saltwater, freshwater, or in open air. The 4 oz size provides enough material for multiple fragging and aquascaping tasks before running out.
The coralline red colorway is the practical standout here. Standard epoxy putties cure to a stark white or grey that remains visible for months until coralline algae grows over it. This formulation matches the reddish-purple tones of coralline algae-encrusted live rock from the start, so placements blend into the rockscape immediately after curing.
Common applications include mounting coral frags to plugs or live rock, securing gorgonians and sea fans that need physical anchoring, attaching macroalgae or aquatic plants, and gap-filling or sculpting rockwork. The cured epoxy is inert and non-toxic, posing no risk to fish, corals, or small invertebrates once fully hardened.
AquaStik works in any orientation — overhead, vertical, or horizontal — without slumping before it sets. For best adhesion, remove loose algae or detritus from the bonding surface before application. The putty has a working time of a few minutes after mixing, so plan placements before kneading.
