AP9XE LED Lighting Panel - Kessil

The Kessil AP9XE LED Aquarium Light takes Kessil's popular wide-coverage reef lighting platform to the next level with increased light output, expanded spectrum control, and an all-new cloud-based control system. Building on the success of the original AP9X, the AP9XE combines Kessil's signature Dense Matrix LED technology with advanced optics, customizable color channels, and remote management through the new Kessil IoT platform.

Designed for mixed reef and SPS-dominated aquariums, the AP9XE delivers powerful, evenly distributed lighting with the natural shimmer and exceptional color blending Kessil is known for. Whether you're upgrading an existing AP9X or building a new reef aquarium, the AP9XE offers greater flexibility, improved performance, and a more convenient way to manage your aquarium lighting.

Next-Generation Dense Matrix LED Technology

Kessil's patented Dense Matrix LED technology places 57 LED chips into a single compact array, creating an intense, naturally blended light source. The AP9XE uses two arrays to provide powerful illumination with excellent color mixing, minimizing color separation and the distracting disco-ball effect commonly associated with traditional LED fixtures.

Combined with Kessil's advanced optics, the AP9XE provides broad, even coverage while maintaining useful light penetration for reef aquariums up to 30 inches deep. Its balanced distribution helps reduce harsh hotspots while delivering the natural shimmer associated with point-source lighting.

Expanded Spectrum Control

In addition to Kessil's signature Tuna Blue spectrum, the AP9XE introduces four independently adjustable color channels, providing greater control over your aquarium's appearance.

• Violet: Fine-tune violet coloration and coral fluorescence.

• Indigo: Enhance blue-violet tones and the visual appearance of fluorescent pigments.

• Red: Adjust warmer tones to highlight natural coral and fish coloration.

• Green: Fine-tune color balance for a more natural-looking display.

Kessil Logic™ maintains the fixture's core spectrum while allowing you to customize the visual appearance of your aquarium without compromising the intended reef lighting profile.

Complete Cloud Control with Kessil IoT

The AP9XE introduces Kessil's new IoT web-based lighting platform, allowing you to access and manage your aquarium lighting from virtually anywhere without downloading a dedicated app.

Through the cloud-based interface, you can create lighting schedules, adjust spectrum and intensity, organize multiple fixtures, and manage your aquarium's lighting system remotely.

Key IoT Features:

• Remote Lighting Management: Access and adjust your lighting settings from anywhere with an internet connection.

• No App Required: Control your AP9XE through Kessil's web-based platform.

• Shareable Lighting Schedules: Export, save, and share custom lighting programs with other reef hobbyists.

• Preset Library: Store your preferred schedules, acclimation programs, and seasonal lighting profiles.

• Cloud System Backups: Save complete lighting configurations and restore them to new or replacement fixtures.

• Guest Access: Grant secure, temporary access to your local fish store or aquarium maintenance provider.

• Multiple Fixture Management: Name, organize, and group compatible fixtures through a centralized dashboard.

• Advanced Lunar Simulation: Automatically replicate natural lunar phases based on real-time night-sky cycles.

Natural Dimming & Lunar Simulation

The AP9XE features exceptionally smooth dimming down to 0.1% intensity, allowing for gradual transitions between daylight, sunrise, sunset, and nighttime lighting.

Create natural daily lighting cycles, gentle acclimation schedules, and realistic moonlight effects without abrupt changes in brightness. The updated IoT platform also provides advanced lunar simulation based on real-time moon phases.

Sleek Design & Broad Coverage

The AP9XE maintains the slim, modern design that made the original AP9X popular among reef hobbyists. Its low-profile construction provides powerful illumination without distracting from the aquarium itself.

Designed for broad light distribution, the AP9XE is an excellent option for aquariums that benefit from even coverage across a larger footprint, including mixed reefs, SPS systems, and peninsula-style displays.
