The Neptune Systems A3 Apex Jr is an entry-level aquarium controller that covers your tank's essential monitoring now and leaves the door open to control later. Out of the box, the Apex Jr tracks temperature, pH, water level, and floor leaks, sends alerts to your smartphone when something goes wrong, and lets you log testing and dosing and check on your aquarium from anywhere.

Apex Fusion: Your Tank From Anywhere

Built-in WiFi connects to the free Fusion cloud interface, where you can calibrate probes, receive alerts, and monitor your system from a computer, tablet, or smartphone on Windows, OSX, iOS, or Android. The drag-and-drop dashboard puts graphs, video tiles, and more where you want them. Because Fusion is web-based, you always run the current software version with no app updates or drivers to install, and a guided interface walks you through setup.

The base unit is monitoring-only, but its AquaBus ports let you keep building:

Included Sensors and Probes

MOS Magnetic Optical Sensor: Replacing the previous OS-1-M, the MOS fits tighter spaces and helps prevent water incursion. It plugs into an FMM port and uses reflected infrared light to signal your Apex when it changes between wet and dry. Use it to build your own auto top-off (ATO), as a high-level sump warning, or as a water storage level sensor. It mounts on reservoirs with walls up to 1/4" thick.

LD-2 Leak Detection Sensor: Place this full-size surface sensor inside your stand, on hard floors, on skimmer cups, or on any flat surface where an overflow could cause problems. If water touches it, your Apex is notified right away so you can take corrective action.

Lab-grade, double-junction probes: Calibration runs through the app dashboard, which recognizes when readings have stabilized and tells you when to move to the next step. The double-junction pH probe keeps readings more stable, so you won't need to calibrate as often.
