How do I keep the “gold” color from washing out or browning?
Color shifts with spectrum and nutrients. Provide moderate–high PAR with strong blue/royal-blue to bring out gold fluorescence; too much white can look dull. Aim for steady NO3 around 2–10 ppm and PO4 0.03–0.1 ppm—excess fuels browning; near-zero risks paling. Keep alk stable (7.5–9 dKH). Trace balance matters; regular water changes help. Why is the base receding while tips look fine?
