Maintain temperature 75–78°F (24–26°C), salinity 1.025–1.026, pH 8.1–8.4, calcium 420–460 ppm, alkalinity 7.5–9.0 dKH, magnesium 1300–1400 ppm, nitrate 2–10 ppm, and phosphate 0.02–0.08 ppm. Test alkalinity and nutrients at least weekly and prioritize stability; sudden swings often cause tissue loss. Mostly photosynthetic, it benefits from 1–3x weekly light broadcast feedings of fine particulate foods or occasional amino acids; don’t overfeed.Place frags securely in the upper mid to high areas with strong, turbulent flow and at least 3–4 inches from other corals; avoid proximity to stingy neighbors (e.g., Galaxea, Euphyllia). Acclimate by dipping and inspecting for pests (AEFW, red bugs), quarantine when possible, and use screen or dimmed lights for light acclimation.
