The EcoTech Marine RMS XR30 Tank Mount System solves that problem by clamping directly to the tank rim and cantilevering the Radion XR30 into position above the water. The result is a secure, freestanding mount that requires no drilling, no ceiling anchors, and no additional hardware beyond what ships in the box.
The system is built around an aluminum track and bracket assembly that resists the long-term flex and bow common with lesser mounting solutions. A sliding extension bar lets you shift the fixture fore and aft over the aquarium, and the kit includes multiple extension rails so the same system works across a range of tank footprints. Fine-tuning the light's position is straightforward once the clamp arm is set on the rim.
The clamp arm itself is engineered to grip tank rims and trim up to 1-3/8" thick, covering the vast majority of glass and acrylic tanks — both rimless and rimmed. Its compact footprint (3.5" x 3.25" x 3") keeps the profile tidy at the tank edge. Integrated grooves along the track conceal the power cord from fixture to outlet, avoiding the dangling-cable look that undermines an otherwise clean display.
Compatibility runs deep: the RMS XR30 is backwards compatible with every generation of Radion, so owners upgrading from an older fixture do not need to replace their mounting hardware. Plan for at least 13" of clearance above the RMS track before installing — this is the most common oversight during setup and worth confirming before ordering.
