Meridian 24 Edge Bar Bundle - Reef Breeders

The Meridian 24 Edge Bar Bundle is Reef Breeders' complete overhead lighting solution for a 24-inch reef system. The Meridian 24 serves as the primary fixture, delivering a spectrum that extends from 400nm through 440nm, including true 440nm indigo LEDs—wavelengths associated with tissue recovery, color development, and growth rates that narrower-spectrum fixtures tend to limit. The two Edge 24 bars mount directly onto the Meridian's integrated front and rear tracks and run from the same 300W supply via daisy chain, so the entire assembly draws 270W at full output and needs only one wall outlet. Nothing needs to be sourced separately: brackets, cables, and the correctly sized power supply are all in the box.

The Edge bars exist to solve a straightforward problem: light falling from directly overhead alone does not reach all surfaces of a three-dimensional reef. Each bar adds up to six inches of lateral coverage and can be angled in toward the rockwork or out toward the glass using the included Edge Articulating Mounts. The Ocular Holo Matrix optics—Edge OHM Focus at 45° on each bar, OHM Balance at 90° on the Meridian—focus that output rather than scatter it, with enough intensity to penetrate tanks thirty inches deep or more. The result is more evenly developed growth across the colony, not just on surfaces directly below the primary fixture.

At checkout, two independent choices shape the system. The Meridian's LED layout is either Original (a 20K look, four 440nm indigo LEDs on a dedicated channel, high white-to-blue ratio) or Shallow Reef (a 14K look, double the white LEDs, with 3.5K warm whites on a separate channel from 5.5K neutral whites). The Edge bar spectrum—both bars ship matched—is Reefer 14K (white, blue, and UV; the only Edge spectrum with white LEDs), Royal Ice (royal blue and cool blue, optimized for fluorescence), or UV/Blue Hybrid (royal blue, near-UV, violet, and indigo, chosen to reinforce coloration and growth). Every channel on every fixture is independently adjustable in the ReefBreeders app regardless of which options are selected.

Control runs over 2.4GHz WiFi for cloud access from anywhere, or over Bluetooth for direct phone-to-fixture communication at the tank—selected once at setup, with a light reset to switch modes. Each Edge bar includes a built-in manual controller. The Meridian accepts an optional plug-in manual controller through the port on top of the case, sold separately. Scheduling, spectrum tuning, and sunrise/sunset ramps are all handled in the app.

A few fit considerations before ordering: side legs, back-of-tank mounts, and hanging wire kits are not included in this bundle and are sold separately. The daisy chain cables are cut to exact length for the Edge bars in their mounted positions on the Meridian's tracks—there is very little slack, so plan accordingly rather than expecting to extend the bars further out. The Meridian 24 is covered by a two-year warranty; the power supply carries a one-year warranty.
