iV PRO Isolated Testing Vessel - Hydros

Probe accuracy in a reef system is routinely compromised by stray voltage — the cumulative electrical noise produced by pumps, heaters, and other powered equipment sharing the same water. The Hydros iV PRO addresses this by pulling a discrete water sample into a sealed, electrically isolated vessel, measuring it away from that interference, and returning it to the sump. The result is pH and conductivity data that reflects actual water chemistry rather than the electrical environment of the tank.

The iV PRO ships as a complete testing kit. The glass beaker and mixing pill ensure the sample is properly homogenized before measurement, while the removable door and two probe holders accommodate simultaneous pH and ORP or conductivity probes. Four acrylic rod fittings manage tubing routing cleanly, and an intake screen protects probes from debris. The unit draws power directly from a Hydros Drive Port — no separate power supply is needed. A stable tabletop base is included, and mounting hardware allows surface installation as well.

The iV PRO supports several configurations depending on what you're measuring. For isolated pH and ORP readings, a single vessel handles both probes simultaneously. For salinity, the isolated environment eliminates the stray-voltage errors that make in-sump conductivity probes unreliable in heavily equipped systems. For automatic alkalinity testing, pairing the iV PRO with a Hydros Control X10 and three of its precision dosing pumps creates a closed-loop kH titration system — 500 mL of pre-mixed kH testing reagent is included to get that workflow started.

Setup considerations: dosing pump(s), a Hydros controller, and a conductivity probe are not included and must be sourced separately for salinity or alkalinity testing workflows. The iV PRO is sized for the included 150 mL glass beaker and fits most standard sump or equipment cabinet configurations at 4 × 3.5 × 7 inches (excluding probes and tubing). The 6-foot cord provides reasonable placement flexibility relative to the Drive Port connection.
