Detailed Description

Leaks can come from many places: a loose hose, a cracked fitting, an overflowing skimmer, or a failed bulkhead. The ReefSense Digital Leak Detector constantly monitors for water around your system so you do not have to rely on chance to catch issues early.

This is a true digital ReefSense probe, not a basic contact pad. It uses saltwater-resistant titanium contacts and is tuned to detect a wide range of water types, from pure RO/DI to full-strength seawater. Because the signal is converted to digital inside the sensor, it is not affected by electrical noise from pumps, lights, or other aquarium hardware. That means fewer false alarms and more reliable operation.

Once connected to any open port on your ReefControl Lite or Pro, the detector becomes part of your automation and safety routines. Within the ReefBeat app, you can configure it to send instant alerts and activate an “Emergency Quick Action” profile. This can shut down return pumps, skimmers, or other devices to stop a leak from getting worse. For expanded coverage, multiple leak detectors can be connected to a single controller and placed in different locations such as under the stand, near the sump, or by an RO reservoir.
