The Tropic Marin® Original Balling Liquid Set is a professional-grade 3-part dosing system designed to deliver balanced supplementation of calcium, alkalinity, and essential trace elements in reef aquariums. Based on the well-established Balling method, this system goes beyond traditional 2-part solutions by maintaining long-term ionic balance in your system—critical for the health and stability of marine life.
The set includes three precisely formulated liquid components:
-
Part A – Calcium chloride dihydrate (20,000 ppm Ca) to support skeletal growth and biological functions in corals and invertebrates.
-
Part B – A carefully balanced mix of sodium carbonate and bicarbonate (2,800 °dH/L) to stabilize alkalinity and buffer pH levels.
-
Part C – Sodium chloride-free sea salt enriched with magnesium (~3,350 ppm) and potassium (~980 ppm) to replace trace elements typically depleted through regular calcium and alkalinity dosing. This ensures ionic consistency without the unwanted accumulation of sodium chloride.
Why Choose Tropic Marin Balling Liquid Set?
-
Ionic Balance: Unlike most 2-part dosing systems that can lead to imbalances over time, the inclusion of Part C helps maintain the natural seawater ratio of elements.
-
Coral Health & Growth: Promotes strong skeletal development and vibrant coloration in soft corals, LPS, and SPS species.
-
Ready to Use: Each solution is pre-mixed in precise concentrations and requires no dilution—just dose equal amounts of A, B, and C.
-
Versatile Application: Perfect for both manual dosing and automatic dosing pump systems.
-
Compatible Systems: Can be integrated seamlessly with the Tropic Marin Bio-Actif System for advanced reef management.
This dosing set simplifies reefkeeping for both beginner and advanced aquarists while delivering professional results. It’s ideal for anyone looking to maintain long-term water chemistry stability, prevent trace element depletion, and create the best possible conditions for coral vitality and growth.
