Description
The MagFeeder Magnetic Feeding Ring by Two Little Fishies is a patented solution for keeping food in a defined surface area instead of losing it to your overflow. A floating ring corrals flakes, pellets, powdered invertebrate feeds, and ring-shaped foods at the surface long enough for fish to consume them. The magnetic coupling lets you position or retrieve the ring without getting your hands wet, and the jointed connection assembly allows easy adjustment of the ring's distance from the tank wall. A center button also accepts ring-shaped foods like New Era Grazer discs. Compatible with glass or acrylic up to 3/4" thick.

Food loss to the overflow is one of the more frustrating inefficiencies in a reef system. The moment flake or pellet food hits the surface, surface skimming and flow patterns can sweep it over the weir before fish have a chance to eat — wasting food, adding nutrients to the sump, and making feeding time less productive. The MagFeeder addresses this directly by providing a floating ring that corrals food at the surface and forces it to sink slowly through a contained area, giving fish a consistent, repeatable place to find their meal.

The ring itself handles most common food types: flakes, pellets, powdered invertebrate feeds, and ring-shaped foods. A center button is designed to accept disc-format foods such as the New Era Grazer, expanding the feeder's usefulness for tanks with herbivorous fish or grazers that benefit from a slow-feed format. The floating ring keeps food at the surface where it's most accessible, while the geometry of the ring itself slows dispersal.

Positioning and retrieval are handled entirely through the magnetic coupling, which holds the ring in place on the interior glass without requiring you to reach into the tank. The external magnet lets you slide the ring to your preferred feeding zone and pull it back out when finished. The jointed connection assembly adds a degree of flexibility, letting you dial in the exact distance from the aquarium wall to suit your tank's layout.

The MagFeeder works with glass or acrylic up to 3/4" thick, making it suitable for most standard display tanks. It's a practical addition to any system where fish are finicky eaters, flow is strong enough to sweep food toward overflows, or you simply want more control over where and how feeding happens.
