Sand Sifters

Sand sifters keep a reef tank's sand bed clean by constantly turning it over and eating detritus, leftover food and film algae before it settles in. This collection covers sand sifting gobies, sand sifting and biscuit starfish, fighting conchs and Nassarius snails.

Match the sifter to your sand bed. Sleeper and railway gobies need a mature, deeper bed with plenty of life in it, and a sand sifting starfish can strip a small tank's sand bed quickly, so both suit larger systems.
