The Reef Octopus Regal 300INT Internal Protein Skimmer delivers high-performance nutrient removal for large, heavily stocked marine and reef aquariums. Designed around a traditional internal pump configuration, the 300INT combines a large reaction chamber with Reef Octopus' controllable VarioS technology to provide powerful air and water processing while giving aquarists precise control over skimmer performance.

The hybrid conical body helps stabilize and concentrate foam as it travels toward the collection cup, allowing dissolved organics and waste to be efficiently removed before they can break down into nitrate and phosphate. High-quality cast acrylic construction provides excellent durability, while the skimmer can be disassembled for straightforward cleaning and maintenance.

At the heart of the Regal 300INT is the Reef Octopus VarioS 6S controllable pinwheel pump. Unlike traditional AC skimmer pumps, the DC-powered VarioS allows you to adjust pump speed and fine-tune the amount of air and water processed by the skimmer. This makes it easier to match skimmer performance to your aquarium's individual bioload and nutrient levels.

Advanced VarioS Control

The included VarioS controller provides significantly more control than a traditional fixed-speed skimmer pump. Five adjustable power levels allow you to increase or decrease skimmer performance depending on your aquarium's nutrient load.

The controller also features dedicated 15-minute and 60-minute pause modes, making it easy to temporarily stop the skimmer during feeding or aquarium maintenance.

An integrated float switch connection allows the included float switch to shut down the pump when necessary, providing an additional layer of protection against overflowing.

For advanced aquarium automation, the VarioS controller also includes a 0–10V input, allowing compatible third-party aquarium controllers to control pump operation and incorporate the skimmer into more advanced system programming.
