The AI Blade Coral Glow is a slim LED light bar engineered to maximize coral fluorescence through a concentrated spectrum of royal blue, 430nm, 415nm, and 405nm diodes. Available in seven lengths from 12 to 66 inches, it scales from a small frag tank to a full-length display. EdgeField optics deliver a 95-degree spread with even PAR distribution and minimal shadowing. The Coral Glow is designed to be run alongside a Blade Grow—ideally at a 1:2 ratio—or used as supplemental fill lighting over an existing fixture. Control is handled wirelessly through the myAI or Mobius apps, with MXM compatibility for Neptune Apex integration.

The AI Blade Coral Glow is a purpose-built LED strip focused on the short-wavelength end of the spectrum—royal blue, 430nm, 415nm, and 405nm—to drive coral pigment fluorescence rather than broad-spectrum growth. It is best understood as a specialty tool: paired with a Blade Grow or used to supplement a pendant fixture, it adds the vivid pop of color that full-spectrum lights often underdeliver on their own. The recommended pairing ratio is 1:2 Coral Glow to Blade Grow, though a single unit of each works well for lower-intensity systems.

What separates the Blade platform from conventional LED strips is the cluster LED architecture paired with proprietary EdgeField optics. Each cluster group houses 24 diodes—roughly one cluster per foot of fixture—arranged to produce a 95-degree spread with smooth color mixing and a natural shimmer effect. The wide angle allows light to wrap around rockwork and coral colonies, reducing the hard shadows that single-point pendant fixtures can create. Run three or more Blade strips in parallel and the combined coverage begins to approach the even fill traditionally associated with T5 fluorescent banks, at considerably lower operating cost.

Mounting is handled through a range of solutions. The Tank Rest (included with fixtures up to 39 inches) sits directly on the tank rim with a low profile and extends up to 4.5 inches to each side. Fixtures over 39 inches ship with Mounting Clips compatible with the AI HMS Single Arm and HMS Hanging Kit rails. Optional accessories—the Elevated Tank Rest, Hanging Kit, Hybrid Mount, and HMS Adapter Arm—cover every common configuration, including combination rigs with Hydra or EcoTech Radion pendants. M8 threads at each end allow fully custom fabrications when none of the standard options fit.

Control is wireless via the myAI or Mobius apps on iOS and Android, with onboard buttons for manual spectrum cycling. MXM compatibility integrates the Blade into Neptune Apex ecosystems alongside EcoTech and AI pumps, consolidating control into Apex Fusion without a separate app. The unit is rated IP66 for water resistance and uses passive cooling throughout, so operation is completely silent. Power adapters are universal-input (100–240V AC), and cable length is 9.8 feet.
