Yes. Macroalgae thrive under moderate to high-intensity lighting with a spectrum that emphasizes red and blue wavelengths. Using a refugium-specific LED light (usually in the 6500K–10,000K range) will promote healthy growth. Running the light on a reverse schedule from your main tank lighting can also help stabilize nighttime pH.
