The VeggieMag solves one of the more tedious small problems in marine fishkeeping: keeping a strip of dried algae where you want it without wrestling with suction cups that lose grip over time or clips that sink to the substrate when released. Two Little Fishies designed the VeggieMag around a strong magnet system that sandwiches the glass between an inner floating body and an outer magnet, holding the clip firmly at whatever depth you set it.
Compatibility is broad. The magnet coupling handles tank glass up to 3/4" thick, which covers the vast majority of standard aquarium panels, including most rimless systems in the mid-to-large size range. Positioning takes a few seconds — slide the outer magnet along the glass to wherever you want herbivores feeding, and the inner clip follows.
The floating design is the detail that makes day-to-day use noticeably easier. When the outer magnet is removed, the inner clip rises to the surface on its own rather than dropping. That means no reaching to the bottom of a deep tank or disturbing rockwork to retrieve a spent clip. For tanks housing tangs, angels, or other dedicated algae grazers, the VeggieMag keeps feedings organized and the glass clean of adhesive residue.
