Description
A less commonly kept species, Margarita Snails are believed to consume cyanobacteria, brown and green diatoms and a variety of filamentous algaes. While we cannot say with certainty that they will consume cyano, these snails remain excellent for most other common pest algae that can be present in the home aquarium. Being significantly smaller in size, Margarita Snails are much less likely to knock corals off of plugs or adjacent rockwork than other larger species such as Trochus and Mexican Turbo Snails.
