Recommended Flow Rates (Saltwater Use):

 

  • Protozoa Control: 400 GPH (for longer UV exposure)

  • Bacterial & Algae Bloom Control: Up to 900 GPH

 

 

Note: UV sterilizers can run at higher flow rates in freshwater or for general water clarity, but saltwater applications benefit from slower flow for increased dwell time. These guidelines are based on real-world testing in our aquaculture systems at Top Shelf Aquatics.
