AWYSIWYG – Approx. Size: 2-3 Inches
Zebra Barred Goby
The Pink Barred Zebra Dartfish is a striking, peaceful species prized for its elegant movement and subtle beauty. With a sleek body adorned in soft pastel tones and vertical pink bars, this dartfish glides effortlessly through the water column. Shy but active, they bring color, grace, and a sense of tranquility to reef aquariums.
Tank Requirements
Pink Barred Zebra Dartfish thrive in aquariums of 30 gallons or more, with plenty of open swimming space and a sandy substrate. Provide ample rockwork with caves and overhangs, where they can retreat and feel secure. A tightly fitting lid is a must, as they are known jumpers—especially when stressed or startled.
Elegant and Timid
These dartfish are known for their peaceful nature and graceful swimming style. Best kept in pairs or small groups (when introduced together), they tend to hover mid-water near their chosen retreat, darting quickly into hiding when threatened. Once settled, they become confident and visible during daylight hours.
Diet and Feeding
Carnivorous by nature, they should be fed a variety of small meaty foods, such as mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, finely chopped seafood, and high-quality frozen or micro-pellet diets. Feed once or twice daily for optimal health and coloration.
Tankmates and Behavior
Pink Barred Zebra Dartfish are extremely peaceful and fully reef-safe. They do best in tanks with similarly docile species and may become timid around aggressive or fast-moving fish. They pose no threat to corals, invertebrates, or tank decor and are excellent for community reef setups.
