The Nyos Quantum EQ Upgrade Kit takes your existing Quantum skimmer and brings it into the modern reefing world. Designed for the Quantum 160, 220, and 300, this upgrade adds full wireless control, improved efficiency, and built-in safety features—without changing the skimmer body you already trust.

Once installed, you’ll have full control over pump speed from 1–100%, allowing you to fine-tune performance based on your system, bioload, and feeding schedule. Using the Mobius app, you can easily adjust settings, create schedules, and dial things in with precision. For Apex users, integration is available through the MXM module (sold separately), letting your skimmer work seamlessly with the rest of your equipment.

The EQ system also introduces smart operating modes that adapt to your reef. Performance Mode gives you a strong baseline with room to fine-tune. Plankton Saving Mode reduces skimming at night to preserve beneficial microfauna, while Nutrient Export Reduction Mode helps prevent over-skimming in low nutrient systems.

Safety is built in. If debris blocks the intake, the pump will automatically shut down to prevent damage and allow the obstruction to clear. If it can’t restart, the system alerts you through the app while the integrated RGB LED flashes red, so you always know what’s going on inside your sump.

That same RGB LED also gives real-time visual feedback on pump speed and doubles as a cabinet light for maintenance—simple, but incredibly useful when working under your tank.

At the core of the upgrade is a European-made 24V pump designed for efficiency and performance. With intelligent control, it delivers up to 20% lower power consumption while increasing output compared to the standard Quantum pump.

If you already run a Nyos Quantum, this is the cleanest way to unlock more control, more efficiency, and a smarter, more responsive system.
