Description
Tiger Sand Conchs are great sand sifter/ cleaners and make a wonderful addition to any saltwater aquarium. Tiger Sand Conchs will burrow and plow through sand, cleaning it as they go. They will stir and clean the top layers of your sand bed removing detritus, algae and other unwanted debris. Tiger Sand Conchs are considered to be very reef safe and very peaceful. They will not irritate corals and for the most part stay on the bottom of the aquarium. Tiger Sand Conchs prefer a sandy bottom to borough in and move about. Similar to other invertebrates the Tiger Sand Conch does not tolerate copper, high levels of nitrates or parameter swings in an aquarium.
