Without the need for additional costly modules, HYDROS Control 4 is a strong and powerful aquarium controller capable of carrying out all necessary tasks for maintaining a healthy aquarium. Both beginning and experienced hobbyists will find this to be quick and simple to set up. Thanks to its cutting-edge architecture, a single operate 4 can monitor and operate several devices, including pumps, timers, level sensors, and much more. It may be joined to other HYDROS Controls to create a larger system, or it can be used as a standalone controller for pond applications, freshwater tanks, and saltwater aquariums.

The Control 4 uses a HYDROS Safety Net and is IP-65 certified to protect both your equipment and aquatic life. Every HYDROS product is designed, made, and supported in the United States.

4 – Sense Port

The Sense Port is a novel idea for measuring aquarium parameter. Numerous Sense Ports are present in HYDROS devices. A general input port called a “Sense Port” may receive data from a wide range of different kinds of sensors.

Sense Ports currently support:

  • Temperature probes
  • Optical level sensors (single and dual)
  • Capacitive non-contact liquid level sensors
  • Rope leak detectors
  • Point leak detectors
  • Flow rate sensors
  • Magnetic switches
  • Push-button switches

2 – Drive Port

To power tiny lights, motors, pumps, fans, and other accessories, the Drive Ports switch 12V DC electricity. The Control continually monitors the precise current being delivered by each port, so if a motor or pump stops drawing current or draws too much, you will be alerted right away.

Accessories currently supported include:

  • Auto Top-Off (ATO) pumps
  • Cooling fans
  • Cabinet LED lights
  • Solenoids to control reverse osmosis systems

2 – Probe Port

The Probe Port on the HYDROS Control 4 is one of its most amazing ports. The Probe Port will accept an ORP or pH probe, however this is not your typical pH input! The circuitry is built around an ultra-high-quality input chip that is intended for probes of this kind alone. Digital galvanic isolation from the rest of the system is provided by each pH input. Galvanic isolation shields linked system components like motors and pumps from interference. By transferring the signal to the digital domain before it crosses the isolation threshold, digital galvanic isolation maintains the measurement’s precision.

0-10V Port

The HYDROS operate 4 can operate and receive commands from other HYDROS devices and accessories from other manufacturers thanks to its 0-10V I/O (input and output) connections. The 0-10V Ports can be used to supply input from an older automation system. They can manage basic switch closures like pushbuttons or float switches as well as variable speed pumps.

2 – Command Bus

The Control is powered by the HYDROS Command Bus, which is also used to connect to other HYDROS devices for the ultimate failsafe.
