DOS – Dosing and Fluid Metering System

One of the most intelligent dosage devices available is the Neptune DOS Fluid Metering System. It will connect straight to your current Neptune Apex, ApexEL, or Apex Jr., allowing you to separately set both pumps for any type of dosing your tank may require. The most popular two-part dosage method is made possible by the DOS pump’s two pump nozzles, but it is not the only two-part dosing method possible. It can be used for measured liquid meal dosing, small trace element additive dosing, automated weekly or even daily water changes, and pretty much any other liquid your tank may require.

With the included AquaHub connection, you can easily connect the DOS Fluid Metering system to your Apex controller. The Fusion cloud software makes it incredibly easy to set a dosing pump. The DOS system can be designed to give a specific quantity of liquid at specific times of the day when interfaced through fusion. The DOS pump is so intelligent that it will even adjust the engine speed based on how much needs to be supplied to the tank in order to minimize noise.

  • 1 dosage per 2 portions
  • Liquid meal dosage
  • Additional fuel
  • Low-volume dosage
  • unattended changes to the environment

To start DOS-ing right away, just connect this device to any Apex using an Aquabus connection!

The most common reason people buy dosage systems for aquariums is to make it simple and reliable to dose 2-part solutions (calcium and alkalinity) into coral tanks. Today, using independent dosing pumps that are timed with seconds or minutes to decide how much to administer is the most popular way to accomplish this. This is inaccurate in addition to being confusing.Everyone is aware that a substance is measured by capacity, not time. Volume is used by all dosage tools currently in use. Therefore, using the DOS (and the Apex Fusion interface), all you have to do is enter how much of each additive you want (one on each pump) and what times of day you want it delivered.

The DOS then establishes each dosage interval during that time frame. The precise volume you specified has been provided at the conclusion of that period of time.In order to reduce disturbance, it even instantly selects the slowest pace required for the pump.

  • Automated water changes –With the DOS, water adjustments are incredibly simple. All you have to do is set your stand underneath the vacant receptacle and the freshly stocked seawater. The Apex Fusion wizard will then calculate everything for you if you simply tell it how much water you want to change, how long you want it to take, and what hours of the day you want it to happen. For you, it will carry out an automated, ongoing water replacement. It improves. When it’s time to replace the jugs, Apex Fusion will send you an email or text message if you have our dual optical water sensing accessory.Spend more time admiring a fantastic aquarium and less time pumping, siphoning, and sloshing water.
  • Dosing micro amounts –The DOS is the ideal option because of its precision regulated stepper motor if you need to administer very small quantities of a specific solution, element, or other fluid (like vodka dosing or Zeovit systems). You can administer as little as 0.1ml at a time thanks to the precision with which you can regulate the pump’s motion.
  • Large diameter tubing – Larger tubing reduces the amount of labor your pump has to do or allows it to run for extended periods of time. The most common dosing pumps on the market utilize tube connections with a minuscule 1.67mm width. Much bigger tubing and connections are used by the DOS. The DOS pump, which has a 3.33mm diameter, can actually manage 4 times the volume of the most popular pump design on the market. This implies that to convey the same quantity of fluid, your pump (and engine) will operate for only 1/4 as long.Longer pump life equals less operating time.
  • Headache free interface – Dosing is simple thanks to Apex Fusion’s programmability.
  • Quick and easy tubing changes – Your tubeset will ultimately expire, pump or no pump.On the DOS, replacing the peristaltic pump pipe is simple. Literally! Simply compress the pump head and remove it to replace the pump pipe. Then remove the pipe, install a fresh piece, and fasten it again. There are no fasteners, difficult snap-on caps, or fiddly loose rollers to deal with. Additionally, since you don’t have to replace the complete pump head, your expenses are lower.
  • Adaptability – The DDR – Dual DOS Reservoir can be attached to the DOS via an accessory connector on the device.
  • Super silent operation – The DOS system is one of the quietest dosing systems on the market for the fluid quantities it provides thanks to significant efforts made by the Neptune Systems engineering team in both the operation of the pump and the enclosure design.
