Chalices

Top Shelf Wave

Chalice corals are unique in that they belong to several different genera of coral, including but not limited to Echinopora, Oxypora, Mycedium, and Lithophyllon. Because of this variety amongst Chalice corals, it is difficult to give specific care requirements that would fit them all–rather only generalizations can be made. Although it may not be easy to exactly classify them, chalice corals are very popular in the reef aquarium hobby. Chalice corals are one of the largest polyp stony corals that people desire due to the colors and patterns they can express. High-end Chalices often have brightly glowing colors and display interesting patterns. My personal favorites look like melted crayons. Find the largest selection of chalice LPS corals online below!
